About the position

Introduction

Responsible for transporting goods from staging areas to storage racks and move from storage racks to picking locations as well.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Transporting stock from staging area and stacking it in racking positions.
• Moving stock from racking positions into pickface locations.
• Conducting empty bin counts when required.
• Conducting cycle counts when instructed to do so.
• Assisting with stock takes as a Reach Truck Driver when required which will require the reach truck driver to lift other employees using the man-cages.
• Conducting daily safety checks before operating material handling equipment.
• Adhering to health and safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Ensure Material Handling equipment is safe for use and any repairs required escalated to Management
• Responsible for picking in high bins or warehouse reserve locations
• Ensure empty Chep pallets are removed from the Warehouse as needed
• Lifting crew in a safety cage when required
• Any lawful or reasonable request

Desired Experience & Qualification

• Grade 12 an advantage or experience in a similar role
• Valid driving certification to operate reach trucks a requirement

• Warehouse Management System knowledge an advantage.

• At least 3 years' experience operating a reach truck.
• Excellent physical condition and coordination
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure
• Ability to work at heights of up to 12.2m.
• Good eye vision
