Job Title: Raw Materials Warehouse Manager

Our client is seeking an experienced Raw Materials Warehouse Manager to oversee raw materials and engineering stores at their Rosslyn warehouse. The successful candidate will be responsible for inventory accuracy, warehouse efficiency, stock control, supplier coordination, safety compliance, and cost management. The role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to ensure the timely availability of raw materials and engineering spares to support uninterrupted factory operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage inventory and stock control for raw materials, including wood, chemicals, packaging, and engineering spares. Conduct regular stock counts, investigate discrepancies, maintain accurate records, and implement FIFO stock rotation.
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing, loading, and dispatching goods. Coordinate with suppliers, production, engineering, and finance teams to ensure timely deliveries and availability of materials and spare parts.
- Lead warehouse staff, monitor operational performance, manage costs, and ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards. Maintain accurate documentation, manage SYSPRO warehouse processes, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- Minimum 3–5 years' experience in receiving, stores, or warehouse operations.
- Experience in inventory management, stock control, and warehouse operations.
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems, preferably SYSPRO.
- Experience managing raw materials, engineering stores, or manufacturing warehouse operations advantageous.
- Knowledge of stocktaking, cycle counts, FIFO, and inventory reconciliation.
- Valid driver's licence.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills advantageous.
- Understanding of warehouse safety procedures, hazardous material storage, and compliance requirements.
- Experience supervising staff and coordinating warehouse activities advantageous.

- Ability to manage stock accuracy, control costs, and make sound operational decisions.
