JOB DESCRIPTION
Key Responsibilities
- Execute purchasing activities aligned with stock trends, campaign cycles, and production needs
- Maintain supplier relationships and conduct quarterly performance reviews
- Negotiate supplier contracts, pricing, and service level agreements (SLAs)
- Monitor cost-saving initiatives including rebates, settlement terms, and courier efficiencies
- Ensure compliance with company policies, import documentation, and warehouse processes
- Collaborate cross-functionally with warehouse, finance, and production teams
Experience and Qualifications
- Minimum 2-3 years procurement experience
- Grade 12 required; tertiary qualification in procurement is advantageous
- Proficiency in ERP systems (Syspro preferred), Excel, and pivot tables
- Knowledge of raw material categories, commodity pricing, and SARS rebate processes
