About the position
Our client within the commercial construction industry is looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor, specifically with plumbing exposure. Plumbing-related construction projects is a MUST in this role. Candidates should also have a completed matric, a National Diploma or BTech in Quantity Surveying. Alternatively, a BSc in Quantity Surveying would be preferential.
The Quantity Surveyor will manage and track the financial and contractual aspects of construction projects.
Responsibilities include measuring works, handling contract documentation, preparing claims and valuations, managing subcontractor payments, and ensuring accurate cost reporting. This role plays a key part in site and commercial team collaboration and junior QS mentorship.
Candidates with proven experience within the construction environment are encouraged to apply, having completed plumbing instillations or services packages. One must be able to measure drawings, submit claims, process subbie claims and adhere to QS procedures, and safety regualtions.
