Quantity Surveyor

About the position

We are seeking a Professional Quantity Surveyor with strong PQS experience in the buildings sector to join a reputable PQS consulting environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on exposure to cost management, contract administration, and project financial control on building projects, with the capability to deliver high-quality commercial and technical QS services.

Role Requirements

• Minimum 7+ years PQS experience in the buildings sector
• Professional registration as QS (or close to registration)
• Experience in cost planning, bill preparation, and financial reporting
• Contract administration and variation management expertise
• Site measurement and valuation experience
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts and commercial risk management
• Ability to work on large-scale residential, commercial, and institutional projects
• Excellent analytical and reporting skills

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage cost estimates and bills of quantities
• Conduct site measurements and valuations
• Manage interim payment certificates and financial reporting
• Provide contract and commercial support throughout project lifecycles
• Ensure cost control and value engineering initiatives
• Support tender evaluations and procurement processes
• Maintain compliance with industry standards and client requirements
