Quantity Surveyor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will assist in the management of all costs related to building and civil engineering projects, from initial calculations to final accounts. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional to gain hands-on experience and grow within the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of cost estimates, budgets, and tenders
• Support the measurement and valuation of work done on-site
• Assist in monitoring project costs and reporting on any variances
• Help in preparing interim and final valuations and project reports
• Work with senior quantity surveyors and project managers to ensure accurate and timely reporting
• Assist in procurement processes, including preparing subcontractor and supplier packages
• Maintain proper documentation and ensure compliance with contractual and legal requirements
• Conduct site visits and assist with on-site measurements and progress assessments

Requirements:

• National Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management
• 0-2 years of relevant experience (internships or site-based experience advantageous)
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• Proficient in MS Excel; experience with QS software (e.g., CCS, BuildSmart, WinQS) is beneficial
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to sites when required
