About the position
A Quantity Surveyor (QS) is a professional responsible for managing the financial aspects of construction projects. Their primary role is to ensure that projects are completed within budget, on time, and to the required quality standards.
Requirments:
- 5 years or more experience working in Petrochemical Industry as a Quantity Surveyor
- Willingness to travel to various sites
- Passport (Advantage)
- Bachelor of Quantity Surveying or relevant quatification (Non - negotiable)
Key responsibilities
- Cost estimation: Preparing detailed estimates of construction costs, including materials, labor, and equipment.
- Tendering: Assisting in the preparation of tender documents, evaluating tenders, and recommending contractors.
- Contract administration: Administering construction contracts, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions, and resolving disputes.
- Cost control: Monitoring and controlling construction costs, identifying areas for cost savings, and implementing cost-reduction strategies.
- Risk management: Identifying and mitigating potential risks, such as delays, cost overruns, or quality issues.
- Value engineering: Analyzing project designs and specifications to identify opportunities for cost savings or improved value.
- Project planning: Assisting in the development of project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Collaboration: Working with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.
- Dispute resolution: Resolving disputes related to construction costs, contracts, or quality issues.
- Final accounting: Preparing final accounts and ensuring that all financial aspects of the project are completed.
