About the position
Well established organisation based in Johannesburg requires an experienced Quality Manager Representative. Minimum of 8 years of experience in quality with at least 5 years in a quality management role.
Qualifications & Experience
Degree in Quality Management, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in quality management, with at least 5 years in a management role.
Certification in Quality Management (e.g. CQE, CQM) advantageous.
Experience in the manufacturing or production industry.
Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems and standards
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to analyze data and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Proficiency in quality management software and tools.
Leadership & Management
Oversee Quality Control and Quality Assurance Managers, ensuring alignment with organizational goals
Provide guidance, training, and support to enhance team performance
Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement
Lead regular team meetings to review performance and plan future activities
Quality Management Systems
Develop, implement, and maintain ISO 9001-compliant quality management systems
Conduct internal audits and inspections to ensure standards are met
Coordinate external audits and maintain relationships with certification bodies
Update and maintain quality policies, procedures, and work instructions
Process Improvement
Identify improvement opportunities through data analysis and stakeholder feedback
Implement corrective and preventive actions to address quality issues
Lead cross-functional teams on continuous improvement projects
Monitor quality metrics to track progress and identify trends
Reporting & Documentation
Prepare and present detailed quality reports to senior management
Maintain accurate and up-to-date quality records and documentation
Develop and manage a document control system for quality documents
Supplier Quality Management
Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure quality standards are met
Develop and manage supplier quality agreements
Collaborate with suppliers on quality issues and corrective actions
Monitor and provide feedback on supplier performance
Customer Focus
Investigate and resolve customer complaints related to quality
Develop customer satisfaction surveys to identify improvement areas
Work with sales and customer service teams to meet customer requirements
Implement corrective actions based on customer feedback
