QUALITY MANAGER – DURBAN SOUTH
A well-established manufacturing company in the Durban South area is seeking to appoint an experienced and results-driven Quality Manager to lead its Quality Department.
Minimum Requirements:
- Degree or Diploma in Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related qualification.
- 15–20 years' relevant Quality Management experience.
- Extensive experience within a manufacturing environment is essential.
- Experience in the beverage industry and/or compression moulding will be highly advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS), quality assurance, quality control, and continuous improvement.
- Proven leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organisational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Reliable, honest, trustworthy, and professional.
- Clear criminal record.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all quality assurance and quality control functions.
- Ensure compliance with customer specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain and continuously improve the Quality Management System.
- Lead internal and external quality audits.
- Investigate quality concerns and implement effective corrective and preventative actions.
- Analyse quality performance and prepare management reports.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives throughout the business.
- Mentor, train, and develop the quality team.
- Work closely with production and other departments to ensure consistent product quality.
