Quality Inspector

About the position

A well established company based in the East Rand is seeking a Quality Inspector. 
Requirements

• Qualification in Quality Assurance, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field will be advantageous.
• Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency in using measuring and inspection equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and report-writing abilities.
• Knowledge of ISO quality standards will be an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of manufactured components and assemblies.
• Verify compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Perform in-process and final inspections.
• Record inspection results and maintain accurate quality documentation.
• Identify, report, and assist in resolving non-conformances.
• Use measuring instruments such as verniers, micrometres, gauges, and other inspection tools.
• Support root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives.
• Work closely with production and engineering teams to maintain product quality.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and other applicable quality standards.
