Quality Controller

About the position

Our client is seeking an experienced Quality Controller to join their team
 
Key Responsibilities:
 

• Ensure products meet quality standards by conducting inspection and product testing using tools such as vernier and micrometres.
• Identify and report defects, deviations, and non-conformities
• Collaborate with production team to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions
• Knowledge and understanding of ISO 9001 principals. 
• Develop daily shift quality reports to management. 

 
Education:

• Matric - Grade 12 Maths
• Quality / Packaging Technology Graduate

Experience:

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in quality assurance
• Experience in a manufacturing or production environment (preferably steel industry)

 
Skills:

• Strong knowledge of quality control principles, standards, and regulations (e.g., SHE, ISO 9001, root cause analysis, FMEA, internal auditing)
• Certified or trained iso auditor
• Knowledge of using measuring tools such as micrometres and verniers and able to
• read dimensional drawings.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong work ethic and ability to meet deadlines
• Continuous improvement mindset and willingness to learn
