Quality Controller

About the position

Our client in the precast concrete manufacturing industry is looking to employ an experienced Quality Controller at their organization
Location: Benoni South (Based) will look after Donkerhoek site (Bronkhorstspruit Rd)
Requirements:

• Matric or equivalent
• QC qualification or equivalent
• A minimum of 3 years' experience as a QC Controller in an operational, manufacturing environment. 
• May not be related to any Current employee of company.
• Ability to provide on the job training pertaining to quality issues.
• Must be able to draft reports, do basic analysis and complete product quality audits.
• Good understanding of the OHS Act as applicable.
• This position is weekday based but may from time to time require afterhours or weekend work.
• This position requires looking after other branch in Donkerhoek but being based in Benoni. 
• Good calculation skills pertaining to specifications of products.
• Computer literate
• Own transport essential

Responsibilities: 

• Manage, monitor, and control QC staff to ensure all procedures and duties are adhered to by them.
• Analyse QC staff daily reports and submit findings to management.
• Responsible for overseeing procedures to ensure that quality standards are adhered to and maintained.
• Gaining an understanding of both the company’s requirements and accreditation authority quality standards of products manufactured.
• Work proactively with the Design, and Operational teams to establish a Quality Aware culture.
• Evaluate and monitor daily production outputs to generate required QC program in order to meet quality standards and retain accreditation.
• Manage and execute internal quality audit schedules and programs.
• ensure quality standards per product equipment type.
• enforcing manufacturing standards in accordance with approved product specifications.
• Lead a root cause and problem-solving methodology to ensure continuous improvement.
• Develop, recommend, and measure controls to improve the manufacturing process to ensure higher-quality goods.
• reviewing new specifications and procedures for products or processes, and training staff to use them.
• Ensuring legal obligations are followed and ensuring compliance with regulatory bodies to maintain retention of accreditations.
• approving or rejecting finished products and submitting daily reports thereon.
• Keeping accurate documentation and performing statistical analysis.
• attending meetings, submitting reports, and assisting external accreditation auditors and inspectors.

Training will be provided to familiarize the successful candidate with the specific products, processes, and quality control procedures.
