About the position
Our client based in Bellville South is seeking to employ an individual as a quality controller on contract basis for a period of 4 months
Requirements are as follows
Matric/Post matric qualification in Consumer Science,Food Technology,Analyticl Chemistry,or related science or technical field
A strong understanding of Laboratory practise is preferred
Key Responsibility
- Conduct sampling, preparation, and testing of raw materials, in-process materials, and final products.
- Carry out regular line audits in receiving, production, and packing areas.
- Identify and manage non-conforming products; assist in investigations of quality issues and customer complaints.
- Perform daily equipment verifications to ensure all tools and instruments are functioning accurately.
- Maintain and audit quality-related documents and ensure accurate filing for traceability.
- Capture and manage data on digital tracking systems for non-conformances and quality metrics.
- Support the resolution of internal audit findings, including ISO and regulatory audits.
- Participate in monthly GMP audits and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Understand production processes and equipment, with a focus on how they influence product quality.
- Prepare Certificates of Analysis (COAs) for product batches, when applicable.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar Quality Control or Quality Assurance role within a manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong understanding of quality control principles and GMP standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Good computer literacy and experience with data entry or quality tracking systems.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a cross-functional team.
- Strong communication and reporting skills.
