Quality Controller – Heavy Earthmoving Machinery
We are seeking an experienced Quality Controller and Quality Assurer with 10–15 years of proven experience in quality control and assurance, specifically within heavy earthmoving machinery such as CAT, Komatsu, Cummins, Bell, and Volvo. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, a hands-on approach, and the ability to maintain and improve quality standards across all projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Control:
- Manage the Quality Control Plan for the rebuilding of all earthmoving machines and components.
- Lead meetings to ensure projects remain on track and quality is maintained throughout.
- Inspect and test heavy machinery to ensure compliance with OEM standards before project sign-off.
Quality Assurance:
- Develop and implement quality assurance processes, procedures, and documentation.
- Apply product-specific knowledge of CAT & Komatsu to maintain high standards.
Documentation:
- Compile datapacks for all machines and components.
- Update, improve, and implement quality control measures and paperwork to ensure delivery of high-quality products.
- Write and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Warranty & Failure Investigations:
- Conduct failure investigations and compile detailed failure reports.
Training & Development:
- Draft product-specific training material for workshops.
- Conduct training sessions where applicable, ensuring staff are fully equipped with quality procedures.
Compliance & Best Practices:
- Actively engage in workshops to promote and enforce best practice behaviors.
- Identify and resolve quality issues promptly.
Continuous Improvement:
- Recommend and implement improvements to quality control and assurance processes.
Supplier Verification:
- Conduct supplier verification, including onsite visits, to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience: 10–15 years in quality control and assurance with a focus on heavy earthmoving machinery.
- Technical Knowledge: Extensive experience with CAT, Komatsu, Cummins, Bell, and Volvo machinery.
- Education: Relevant technical or engineering degree preferred.
- Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and precision.
- Leadership: Ability to lead and train a team effectively.
