About the position
QC Analyst required to take responsibility for quality and food safety system, and regulatory compliance. Duties may include scheduling third party audits or working to get up to date information about health department inspections or pest control reports.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Food Technology or Biotechnology or Food and Nutrition or Analytical Chemistry
- 1-2 years' relevant experience
- FMCG, Manufacturing sector experience is ESSENTIAL
- Proven ability to manage, maintain and deliver against Customer requirements

Responsibilities:
- Daily routine and ad hoc analysis and testing of all incoming oil, outgoing oil and meal, storage tanks, line samples and other testing/result requirements (all tests required for operations, as well as special requests)
- Laboratory data - timeously and accurately reporting, recording and maintaining sample registers, results sheets, and reports and including the archiving thereof
- Flowbin and drum labels preparation
- Complete and maintain documentation needed to support testing procedures including equipment verifications and maintenance, solutions preparations and/or inventory management
- OPRP and CCP monitoring verification as required
- Shelf-life samples traceability and inventory maintenance
- Report and raise non-conformance reports as they arise
- Sensory evaluations and final product quality control
- Maintenance of laboratory stock supplies (conduct stock take, accurate reporting of stock consumption and maintenance of all required documentation as required)
- Maintenance of laboratory equipment condition (servicing, cleaning, verification, etc) and the documentation thereof
- Maintenance of GLPs, overall housekeeping and safety standards in the laboratory
- Guide and support Samplers, and Online QCs
- Coordination of final product release - COA's and other related documentation
- Customer complaints - assist with investigation
- Internal auditing, onsite inspections, reporting and follow-up to ensure compliance as required
- Ad hoc, QA Administration
- Undertaking any other duties, either for this department or any other department within the business which may be requested
