About the position
Background:
- Exciting career opportunity for a QA Officer within a leading manufacturing company
Department: QHSE
Minimum Requirements:
- Essential: Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent
- Preferred: Trade Qualification in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience in refrigeration QC, manufacturing, or installation
- Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015, ISO 3834-2, NCRs, RCA, CAPA, documentation, and traceability
- Health and Safety awareness in manufacturing/assembly environments
- Proficient with inspection tools, technical drawings, and QMS systems (e.g., DocuWare)
Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-process and final inspections of refrigeration components and assemblies
- Inspect welding, brazing, piping, and mechanical assemblies for compliance
- Perform pressure, vacuum, and leak testing
- Raise and track Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs)
- Maintain inspection records, documentation, and traceability
- Support Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and defect prevention
- Collaborate with production, QA, and Health & Safety teams to resolve quality issues
- Ensure compliance with ISO standards, internal QMS, and Health & Safety requirements
