About the position
A well-established private higher education institution is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to lead academic quality assurance, regulatory compliance, accreditation, and institutional governance across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage institutional quality assurance initiatives.
- Coordinate and oversee DHET, CHE, SAQA, QCTO and other regulatory compliance requirements.
- Manage programme accreditation, re-accreditation, and regulatory submissions.
- Prepare for and coordinate internal and external academic audits and accreditation site visits.
- Develop, review, and implement academic policies, procedures, and quality management systems.
- Ensure compliance with higher education legislation and regulatory frameworks.
- Provide guidance on academic governance, quality standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor academic quality, assessment processes, and institutional compliance.
- Work closely with Academic Boards, Senate, and executive leadership to strengthen academic quality and governance.
- Support quality assurance across multiple campuses where applicable.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree (Honours or Master's degree advantageous).
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a Quality Assurance, Academic Compliance, Academic Operations, Registrar, or similar higher education leadership role.
- Proven experience within the private higher education sector.
- Strong knowledge of DHET, CHE, SAQA, QCTO, accreditation, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience preparing for academic audits, accreditation visits, and quality assurance reviews.
- Strong understanding of academic governance, policy development, and quality management systems.
- Excellent leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and organisational skills.
