About the position
Lead the way as a Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Quality Assurance Specialist within the offshore asset management space. Is this you? As a Quality Assurance Specialist in Non-Destructive Testing, you'll be at the forefront of protecting offshore oil rigs and marine vessels. You'll: * Lead and manage all NDT inspection activities across multiple offshore projects. * Develop, implement, and refine NDT quality assurance frameworks, standards, and procedures. * Perform risk assessments and review inspection data to identify issues and implement solutions. * Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and technicians, providing guidance, mentorship, and technical expertise. * Evaluate and introduce emerging NDT technologies and methods to optimise reliability and efficiency. * Ensure inspection documentation, reporting, and compliance meet stringent industry and regulatory requirements. The position in based in Cape Town with some opportunity to travel to sites offshore. What you'll need To succeed, you'll bring: * A qualification in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related technical field. * Professional certification in Non-Destructive Testing (e.g., UT, MT, PT, RT, or ET). * A minimum of 3-5 years' direct NDT experience, ideally within the oil and gas, marine, or heavy fabrication industries. * Strong knowledge of NDT techniques, inspection technologies, and reporting software. * A thorough understanding of industry standards and regulatory frameworks (ASME, ISO, API, etc.). * Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills, with the ability to influence and guide both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
