Quality and Systems Manager at Ortus Laboratories (Seychelles) Pty Ltd

About the position

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized, tech-savvy Quality and Systems Manager to lead the design and implmentation of ISO qualiity systems and a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) for our developing laboratory. This is a pivotol role, ideal for someone ready to take ownership of building operational systems from the ground up and ensuring the lab meets international standards of excellence.

Your will be responsible for establishing the full ISO [Phone Number Removed]; quality framework, coordinating LIMS setup, and supporting administrative and reporting functions to ensure streamlined operations and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

ISO System Implementation:

• Design and implement a compliant ISO 9001 and ISO 17025 quality management system
• Develop all quality documentation, including SOPs, quality manuals, audit checklists, training logs, and document control processes
• Lead internal audits, gap analyses, and preparation for external assessments
• Set up and manage systems for non-conformities, corrective actions, and quality assurance reviews
• Train and support staff in applying quality practices

LIMS setup and Integration

• Plan and cooridnate the ful implementation of our LIMS
• Work with software vendors to tailor workflows, configure modules and onboard users
• Develop protocols for sample tracking, digital data entry, automated reporting and client access
• Provide internal training, documentation, and support to ensure effective system use
• Monito system performance and lead improvements over time

Administrative and Operational Support:

• Oversee tracking of samples, client communication, invoicing and report release
• Maintain organised records, staff documentation, inventory logs and compliance files
• Support the lab's management team with reporting, scheduling, and procedural improvments

Qualifications and Experience:

• Degree in Science, Administration, Quality management, Laboratory Technology or related field
• Minimum of 5 years experience in a laboratory or regulated environment, with direct responsibility for implementing ISO17025 or ISO9001
• Proven experience in LIMS setup, customization, or administration
• Strong skills in documentation, internal auditing and project coordination
• Proficient in MS office, cloud systems, and technical communication

Salary: Gross (before tax) SCR 30,000. Based in Seychelles Rupees (SCR), commensurate with qualifications and experience

While this role is permanent, the initial employment will be issued as a fixed-term contract to comply with work permit regulations. This does not affect long-term employment intent or benefits.
