About the position

Quality Systems Administrator required with excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers. Knowledge and working experience of all regulations, legal requirements and standards including OHS, as well as Product audits. Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.

Responsibilities include:

  • Perform internal audits, compile the audit report and all findings to be raised and issued to the relevant departments for corrective actions
  • Update and maintain all documentation as required for various locations
  • Monitor the holding bay and reject area. Generate report for review
  • Compile, cost and submit all local and import claims. Claims feedback to be monitored on a daily and weekly basis
  • Receive offers from suppliers and compile reject notification forms and issue to sales, liaising with the supplier and closing off claims
  • Receive credit notes from Suppliers and update system
  • Stock control (invoice out) material scrapped
  • Carry out training and maintain and update all training records as required
  • Conduct product audits on a daily and weekly basis
  • Analyse non-conformance notes for root cause, problem solving and verification of implemented corrective and preventive action
  • Costing of non conformance report, statistical analysis compiled and given to the Quality Manager
  • Email customer feedback on a yearly basis
  • Assist with the development and implementation of Occupational Health and Safety requirements
  • Conduct and record SHEQ Risk Assessment
  • Chair the health and safety meeting with SHE Representatives and report all concerns to the Quality Manager
  • Compile SHE reports for Management Review
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures, regulatory and legislative requirements to quality, environmental and health and safety
  • Raise and problem solve non-conformance notes for internal errors as per non-conformance procedure
  • Request sample of colour material (every shipment), conduct test and generate report
  • Assisting with any ad hoc duties as required to ensure the effective operation of the Quality Department and of the Company as a whole

Requirements:

  • Matric
  • 2-3 years' SHEQ experience
  • MS Office proficiency
  • IATF [Phone Number Removed];), ISO 9001 (2015) and ISO [Phone Number Removed];) certification
  • ISO [Phone Number Removed];) Auditing Management Systems certification
  • Legal Compliance certification
  • PFMEA, APQP, PPAP, MSA and SPC certification advantageous
  • Must be able to use measuring equipment
  • Knowledge of steel products
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
