About the position
Our client, a leading automotive Manufacturing company based in Durban, is looking to fill the position of Quality Administrator.
Purpose of the Role:
To provide administrative assistance to the Quality department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Capturing of daily internal quality defects, and defects on Syspro.
- Maintain G8D register to ensure that G8D tracking and closure by relevant process owners are completed.
- Tracking and controlling of calibration register.
- Prepares monthly quality report.
- Prepare monthly customer PPM report and send to assistant quality manager for analysis and verification.
- Ensure all safety system components testing data are received per batch from supplier.
- Support requirements of the quality management system: Ensure that product audits, process audits and internal audits are performed as per schedule.
- Ensure that correct revision documents are on the shopfloor by conducting monthly document audit.
- Keep accurate records of all quality testing data (traceability, slip coat, CLD).
- Liaise with projects to check ECI register is updated.
- Report on the company portal and Ford Covisin for warranty and PPM.
- Monitor adherence to quality standards.
- Ensures data integrity and accuracy.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Grade 12 Senior Certificate
- Engineering Diploma/ Certificate in Quality or similar
- Graduate with good admin skills and be able to work unsupervised when needed
- Advanced Computer literacy (MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook Express)
Advantageous:
- Minimum 2 years' experience within a quality or manufacturing environment in automotive industry
- Knowledge and experience of problem-solving techniques
- Knowledge and experience working with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949
