QS Estimator

About the position

Background:

• Our Client in the Electrical Contracting Industry is looking for a QS Estimator to join their team

Minimum Requirements

• Matric & Electrical Diploma/Degree
• 5+ Years’ QS estimating experience within a construction environment
• Proficient on MS Office Suite

Responsibilities

• Understand contract documents such as JBCC, NEC, MBA
• Tender for new projects
• Understand/read electrical drawings & draw up list of quantities
• Identify the extra work needed to be done on projects & claim extra costs from the Client
• Estimations & budgets for the project
• Advance claims on respective projects
• Liaise with Clients, Contractors, Sub-Contractors, Project Managers & Foreman
• Negotiate for the best prices
