About the position
Our Client is looking for a QC Technician to join their Quality Control team.
Experience in packaging or fill and pack production environments within manufacturing, pharmaceutical, or FMCG industries.
The role works closely with production and fill and pack teams while maintaining compliance with GMP, ISO standards, PIC requirements, and SANS regulations.
Requirements
- Matric with Mathematics and Science
- Quality related Diploma or related/similar
- Experience in an FMCG or manufacturing environment
- Experience in packaging or fill and pack production environments
- Knowledge of GMP would be advantageous
- Experience with Syspro
Key Responsibilities
- Perform line clearances and line opening and closing activities within the Fill and Pack department
- Conduct regular in process line checks to ensure product quality and packaging integrity
- Approve in process production by verifying specifications and performing visual and measurement checks
- Communicate required adjustments to production supervisors when deviations are identified
- Ensure packaging line standards are correct and available before production begins
- Report irregularities and non conformances to support continuous quality improvement
- Sample water for reverse osmosis systems when required
- Perform environmental monitoring when required
- Approve finished products by confirming specifications through visual and measurement testing
- Return products for rework where required and verify reworked product quality
- Ensure all documentation is completed accurately during filling and packing to maintain batch traceability
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and internal quality procedures
