About the position

Minimum requirements

  • Matric or equivalent
  • Project Administration qualification would be advantageous
  • 3 - 5 Years’ experience in a project administration role
  • Proven track record of delivering results in a high paced environment
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Office applications
Responsibilities

  • Identify and evaluate potential Suppliers, negotiate terms and contracts, and maintain relationships with Vendors to ensure the timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services
  • Manage the entire purchasing process from requisition to delivery, including issuing purchase orders, tracking orders, and resolving any discrepancies or issues that may arise
  • Co-ordinate with Suppliers and Logistics Partners to ensure on-time delivery of materials and supplies, monitor delivery schedules, and address any delays or delivery issues promptly
  • Develop and implement internal controls to streamline purchasing and inventory processes and provide regular progress reports to management and team members on procurement activities and inventory levels
  • Oversee the receipt and inspection of incoming inventory, ensure accurate record-keeping of inventory levels, and co-ordinate with Stores staff to organise and manage inventory storage
  • Fulfil orders by picking and packing items accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely delivery
  • Co-ordinate delivery schedules with Suppliers, carriers, and internal departments to optimise delivery routes and minimize transportation costs while ensuring timely delivery of materials and supplies
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of material master data, including prices, new materials, and Vendor information, in the inventory management system
