About the position
Introduction
The purpose of this job is to process, capture and receipt purchase orders for all the identified Famous Brands departments, including Supply Chain, the Corporate Services team, and Facilities.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Process Purchase Orders from start to finish and within time requirements.
- Provide administrative support where required for the corporate administrative team.
- Receive a quotation and/or invoice from a supplier.
- Accurately raise/generate a purchase order on workflow.
- Request approval from the Business Unit Manager/Executive.
- Send approved PO to the supplier.
- Receipt the PO after the service has been rendered.
- Request the Manager/Executive to approve the receipt.
- Diligently follow purchase orders through to completion.
- Follow-up on outstanding POs when necessary.
- Maintain a superior level of accuracy, consistency, and work quality involving order management.
- Provide cover for the corporate administration team members where appropriate.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Minimum matric/grade 12
- Relevant diploma/degree will be advantages
- Data entry skills.
- IT/Computer literate and proficient MS Office.
- Strong working knowledge of Excel.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Sage X3 ERP and Workflow experience would be advantageous
