About the position

Public Sector Lead

  • Responsible for total SMME sales number for product range
  • Enable Company sales teams to grow vendor revenue in existing install base and new accounts through focused marketing strategies, campaigns and enablement.
  • Recruit partners into the vendor/technologies programs you are responsible for
  • Enable SMME partner sales team to grow vendor revenue in their existing install base accounts and new accounts through focused  marketing strategies, campaigns and end user enablement.
  • Grow resellers’ expertise, competence, knowledge and skills in the vendor programs they are primarily engaged in, as well as adjacent vendors/technologies that Company may represent.
  • Managing the vendor partner programs into the SMME
  • Be an expert with respect to the vendor/technology competition

Qualification:

  • 6-8 years sales experience in the IT industry (Essential), in IT distribution (preferred);
  • Minimum 10 years sales experience selling to large corporate customers (preferred);
  • Successful account management experience and technical sales experience (Essential);
  • Matric certificate with exemption (essential);
  • Technology and/or commercial degree or equivalent education/industry experience (essential);
  • Technical background, with experience in the reseller SMME and or IT security products and technologies (essential);
  • Marketing or commerce degree or diploma (Preferred);
  • End-user sales experience (Preferred);
  • HP Enterprise Server, NIC & Storage experience (Proven) or alternate Vendor experience;
  • Software Enterprise experience – e.g. Oracle, IBM, VMware
