About the position
Our Client is looking for confident, resilient hunters with great people skills that have operated proactively in a pressurised sales environment. Experienced sales people to actively prospect potential home loan clients for either switches from other financial institutions or to offer them a new, tailor made home finance package. The role would suit self-reliant and extroverted personalities with great negotiating skills.
Requirements:
- Matric/ Grade 12 (must have)
- Minimum of 3 years' Sales experience (preferably in a home loans environment)
- Proven track record
- Exceptionally strong Admin skillset
- Valid driver's license and reliable own car
- Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
- Numerical skills - financial calculations
- Professional, respectful customer service
- Negotiation skills
Responsibilities of the role:
- Sourcing potential clients through lead providers and personal engagement
- Creating a strong network of potential clients through ongoing partnering and relationship building
- Proactively using reliable methods such as referral campaigns, personal marketing opportunities (Shows, Expos, Mall campaigns), email campaigns, corporate presentations, networking, call duties, social activities, South African Property Transfer Guide letters, Flyers, and Open House Days
- Identifying Client needs (involving asking open ended questions and actively listening to their responses)
- Pre-qualifying potential clients
- Identifying financial problems/ challenges they face
- Keeping client details on file for future follow-ups
- Matching relevant product packages to their needs
- Using outstanding product knowledge, presenting the features and benefits of a relevant product package
- Explaining the procedures involved in processing applications
- Applying the correct credit criteria when assessing
- Drafting motivations and explanations of any abnormalities
- Explaining all the important figures, conditions, and terminology in the LOA (Final Grant)
- Closing the deal
- Maintaining customer contact and following up/ updating the client on every step of the process after the deal has been concluded and even after the LOA has been signed
- Attending to all relevant documentation (including acquiring supporting documents)
