Projects Planner

About the position

We are recruiting an experienced Project Planner to support capital projects, plant upgrades, shutdowns, and brownfield work in refinery, fuels, chemicals, mining, or heavy industrial environments.

Requirements:

• Matric (Grade 12) – compulsory
  
  
• National Diploma / Degree in Engineering or Project Management
  
  
• 5–8 years’ project planning & scheduling experience
  
  
• Strong experience in heavy industry / refinery / mining environments
  
  
• Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 (preferred) and MS Project
  
  

Key Skills:

• CPM scheduling, WBS, resource loading & levelling
  
  
• Baseline, forecast & recovery schedules
  
  
• Progress tracking, earned value & schedule risk mitigation
  
  
• Strong reporting and stakeholder engagement skills
  
  

Environment:

• Safety- and governance-driven
  
  
• Exposure to OHSA, Permit-to-Work, contractor management
  
  
• High-risk operational project environments
  
  

Deliverables:

• Accurate, logic-driven schedules
  
  
• Early identification of schedule risks
