About the position
A well-known water treatment solutions company requires the above to be responsible for the planning, coordination, execution, and delivery of multiple water and wastewater treatment projects, managing multidisciplinary teams, engaging with clients, and ensuring compliance with regulatory, safety, and environmental standards ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Minimum requirements for the role:
- An engineering qualification (either a mechanical or chemical or electrical or process) would be advantageous.
- Proven experience having worked within a project management role within an engineering / water treatment plant and related environment is essential.
- Must have strong knowledge of water treatment systems / equipment (RO, filtration, dosing panels, cooling/boiler, effluent applications).
- Excellent organisational, leadership, and communication skills.
- A good understanding of costing, tendering, and contract negotiation is essential.
- Proven track record in delivering design-and-build or EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) projects.
- Strong understanding of water and wastewater treatment technologies, processes, and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to manage multiple projects across different regions.
- Must be able to manage multidisciplinary teams, managing various water treatment equipment projects, engaging with clients.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:

- Managing multidisciplinary teams, engaging with clients, and ensuring compliance with regulatory, safety, and environmental standards.
- Leading and managing water treatment equipment projects from design through to commissioning.
- Overseeing project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Coordinating with engineering, operations, and client teams to ensure project delivery.
- Ensuring compliance with iso standards, safety protocols, and quality requirements.
- Managing subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring timely delivery of materials and equipment.
- Preparing project progress reports and present updates to senior management and clients.
- Supporting with project feasibility input and costings and providing technical input into proposals and tenders.
- Developing project delivery frameworks and ensuring compliance with ISO, SHEQ, and SANS standards.
