About the position
Our client, a global engineering company with focus on solar projects and delivering large-scale renewable energy infrastructure, is currently seeking to hire a Planning Engineer to join their growing team in Postmasburg, Northern Cape. This will be a project-based contract until November 2027.
Minimum Requirements:
- Relevant Engineering Degree/ similar qualification
- Strong project planning experience working on large renewable energy projects, ideally in the solar energy sector
- Must have experience in planning software, eg. Primavera, MS Projects or related software
- PV/BESS/power/infrastructure experience
- ECSA Registered as PREng - would be advantageous but not an essential
- Valid driver's license and own vehicle
- Must be willing to relocate to Postmasburg, Northern Cape if outside the area
- Must be able to pass a site medical
Main duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Develop and maintain the project schedule
- Plan engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning activities
- Set milestones, dependencies and critical paths
- Track progress against the baseline programme
- Produce progress reports and forecasts
