Location: Midrand, Gauteng
Job Purpose
The Project Manager will be responsible for the successful planning, execution, monitoring, and completion of energy-related projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage client expectations, and ensure alignment with the company’s strategic goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
- Project Management Professional (PMP), PRINCE2, or equivalent certification (preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in project management, preferably in the energy, engineering, or construction sector.
- Proven track record of managing multi-disciplinary projects with strict timelines and budgets.
- Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Asana, or similar tools).
- Experience with renewable energy (especially solar PV) projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end execution of energy projects from initiation to closure.
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets.
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
- Ensure resource availability and allocation.
- Manage relationships with clients and stakeholders to ensure satisfaction and alignment.
- Track project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Perform risk management to minimize project risks and issues.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations.
- Prepare project reports, proposals, and presentations for management and clients.
- Conduct post-project evaluations and identify areas for improvement.
