About the position

The Project Manager is responsible for delivering high-quality finance-related system projects, ensuring objectives and business requirements are met
Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the delivery of multiple high-impact finance systems projects across business areas.
  • Apply project management principles throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring successful delivery and operational handover.
  • Identify and manage project risks, issues, and opportunities proactively.
  • Provide guidance, motivation, and facilitation to project teams.
  • Develop and implement practical project plans with clear timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
  • Communicate progress, challenges, and solutions effectively to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with strategic business objectives.

Work Experience
Required:

  • 5–7 years experience managing projects in a corporate environment, preferably finance systems.
  • Proven track record managing multiple projects concurrently.

Preferred:

  • Experience in system implementations, method adoption, or project management in a finance or technology environment.
  • Familiarity with Group Finance systems or enterprise resource planning (ERP) projects.

Education / Qualifications
Required:

  • Tertiary qualification (Degree or Diploma)

Preferred:

  • Project Management certification or formal training

Technical Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong knowledge of project management theory and practical application.
  • Ability to grasp technical concepts quickly and translate them into business solutions.
  • Skilled in multi-tasking and managing several projects concurrently.
  • Strategic thinking and understanding of business priorities.
  • Strong people management and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, presentation, and negotiation skills.
