About the position
Role Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and deliver critical infrastructure and
networking projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Server Hosting and
SDWAN implementations, with proven ability to manage complex technical rollouts and vendor
coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the rollout of the following projects:
- Interface with our client and the teams
- iSeries – IBM AS400 with TCM in the colocation site.
- Dell Service Migration – Migration of Dell services within colocation sites.
- SDWAN Deployment – Vendor selection and implementation (kick-off in March).
- Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure successful delivery.
- Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 5 years as a Project Manager in IT infrastructure projects.
- Matric and post matric IT qualification.
Technical Knowledge:
- Server Hosting environments.
- SDWAN project experience.
- Familiarity with IBM AS400 (iSeries) and Dell service migrations.
- Strong vendor management and stakeholder communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with colocation projects.
- Knowledge of TCM systems.
