Project Manager

About the position

My client based in Johannesburg is currently looking for a Project Manager to join their team on a contract basis.

IT / FINANCE

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Supply Chain, or Pharmaceutical Management, or a related field
• Formal Project Management Certification such as PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, or Agile certification
• 3-5 years of experience managing IT or business projects, ideally in Supply Chain, Retail, or Pharmaceutical industries
• Proven experience delivering SAP or ERP implementations (SAP ECC, S/4HANA, MM, SD, WM modules)
• Experience working within structured PMO/governance environments
• Skilled in vendor and third-party management
• Exposure to both Waterfall and Agile project delivery methodologies

Skills and Knowledge

• Strong project planning, scheduling, and stakeholder management skills
• Proficiency in tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, Teams, and SharePoint
• Understanding of business processes across IT, Supply Chain, and Pharmaceutical operations
• Strong financial management ability (budget tracking, cost control, and variance reporting)
• Excellent communication, presentation, and report writing skills
• Analytical mindset with sound problem-solving and risk management skills
• Working knowledge of SAP environments and system integration points
