Role Overview
My client, based in Woodstock, Cape Town, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and deliver projects within the Business Intelligence (BI), Data Analytics and data integration environments.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end management of data-driven projects, including planning, budgeting, stakeholder engagement and implementation. The role requires experience with Snowflake and data integration, as well as the ability to manage complex projects and engage with stakeholders at all levels, including Group Executives.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end delivery and implementation of Business Intelligence, Data Analytics and data integration projects.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, timelines, milestones and deliverables.
- Manage project budgets, financial forecasts, resource allocation and cost control.
- Oversee projects involving Snowflake and data integration initiatives.
- Coordinate technical teams, data specialists, business analysts and other project stakeholders.
- Present project progress, risks, issues and dependencies to Steering Committees (SteerCos).
- Engage with Group Executives, senior management and business stakeholders to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
- Manage project risks, issues, dependencies and changes throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure that project deliverables meet agreed business requirements, timelines and quality standards.
- Facilitate communication between technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Monitor project progress and provide regular status reports to senior management and executive stakeholders.
- Drive the successful implementation and adoption of data solutions in line with business requirements.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum of 7+ years' experience in project management.
- Proven experience managing Business Intelligence and Data Analytics projects.
- Experience working with Snowflake.
- Proven experience managing data integration projects.
- Demonstrated experience in project planning, budgeting and implementation.
- Experience presenting to Steering Committees and engaging with Group Executives.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage at both technical and executive levels.
- Excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational, planning and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage complex projects involving multiple teams and stakeholders.
