Project Manager (Intermediate) - IT Delivery & Agile Environments

Overview
An exciting opportunity exists for an Intermediate Project Manager to join a dynamic team in Cape Town. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in Agile delivery environments and understands the practical realities of IT project execution. The successful candidate will be structured, methodical, and committed to ensuring delivery fundamentals are consistently met - from planning and documentation through to execution, governance, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end delivery of IT projects across cross-functional teams.
- Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, RAID logs, and delivery artefacts.
- Track and report on project progress, risks, issues, dependencies, and milestones.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Ensure requirements are clearly defined, documented, and aligned with stakeholder expectations.
- Coordinate delivery activities across development, infrastructure, security, and business teams.
- Proactively identify delivery risks and drive mitigation actions.
- Ensure projects are delivered within agreed timelines, quality standards, and business expectations.
- Provide concise and accurate status reporting to stakeholders and leadership.
- Support continuous improvement within delivery processes and team collaboration.
Required Skills & Experience
- 4-7 years' experience in Project Management within IT or technology environments.
- Strong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies (Scrum and/or Kanban).
- Solid knowledge of IT concepts including applications, infrastructure, integrations, and delivery lifecycles.
- Excellent organisational and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience using tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar project management platforms.
- Ability to challenge assumptions, drive clarity, and ensure alignment before execution begins.
Nice to Have
- Exposure to DevOps and CI/CD delivery environments.
- Understanding of IT security and risk considerations.
- Relevant certifications such as PRINCE2, PMP, Scrum Master, or equivalent.
