Project Manager (Commercial Fit-Outs)

About the position

Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their Cape Town team and lead the successful delivery of commercial fit-out projects. This opportunity is ideal for a driven construction professional with a strong background in turnkey office and retail fit-outs and a passion for delivering high-quality projects from inception through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage commercial fit-out projects from planning through to final handover.
• Coordinate project programmes, budgets and resources to ensure successful delivery.
• Manage contractors, consultants, suppliers and client relationships.
• Monitor project costs, quality and timelines.
• Identify project risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards.
• Oversee procurement and contract administration.
• Prepare and present regular project progress reports.
• Ensure projects are completed to the highest quality standards while meeting client expectations.

Minimum Requirements

• Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Building or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years' experience managing commercial fit-out projects.
• Proven experience delivering office, retail or corporate interior fit-outs.
• Strong understanding of project planning, budgeting and contract administration.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to project sites when required.
