About the position
The Project Manager for Cloud Solutions is responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of cloud based solutions to clients. They manage the project's scope, cost, schedule, and deliverables, ensuring they align with the service order or contract. The Project Manager employs project management techniques such as the Garage Method for Cloud, Design Thinking, and Agile Delivery Model. They lead the delivery team and interface with client project managers and other stakeholders. The ideal candidate should have experience in cloud migration, continuous modernization, coexistence architecture, refactoring, containerization, APIs, Microservices, and Kubernetes. They should also have a strong understanding of application components, including System of Engagement (SOE), System of Insight (SOI), System of Integration (SOI), and System of Records (SOR). Furthermore, the Project Manager should have hands on experience in project delivery on at least one major cloud platform, such as IBM Cloud, AWS, Azure, Red Hat OpenShift, or Google Cloud Platform. This role requires a unique blend of technical and leadership skills, as well as a deep understanding of cloud technologies and project management best practices. The Project Manager shall be highly experienced on risk management, able to dictate and share detailed status updates, lead steerco presence, and lead cross functional disperse teams.
