You'll manage complex industrial ammonia refrigeration projects from planning to commissioning across South and East Africa. From developing project timelines and resource allocation to supervising installation teams and subcontractors, you'll ensure each project meets rigorous safety, quality, and client standards. Your role will also involve updating engineering documents, tracking budgets, and generating client proposals. With opportunities to lead strategic client meetings and explore growth opportunities, this role offers a dynamic and rewarding leadership challenge.
You'll be joining a leading specialist in industrial refrigeration, known for delivering technical excellence and tailored solutions throughout Africa. With a strong footprint in the industry and a team-oriented culture, this company values high standards, innovation, and professional development.
You'll need at least 5 years' experience managing industrial ammonia refrigeration projects (10+ years is a plus). An engineering qualification (Diploma, B-Tech or Degree) is essential, along with strong project cost control, knowledge of QHSE practices, and the ability to read P&IDs and wiring diagrams. You should be willing to travel, hold a valid passport and driver's licence, and be confident writing proposals and technical reports.
A full-time, Cape Town-based role with travel opportunities across South Africa, exposure to diverse projects, and the chance to be part of a team shaping the future of refrigeration engineering.
