About the position
We are recruiting a Junior Project Engineer to support the delivery of gold processing equipment projects, from order through to installation and commissioning. You will work alongside senior engineers and coordinate with suppliers, the fabrication workshop and clients to keep projects on track.
What you will do
- Track project schedules, milestones and progress, and flag delays early.
- Assist with general arrangement and fabrication drawing packages, bills of material, equipment lists and datasheets.
- Maintain costing sheets, spares lists, progress reports and technical documents for client submission.
- Raise procurement requisitions, follow up on deliveries and compare supplier quotations with specifications.
- Liaise with the fabrication workshop, attend in-house inspections and help compile quality documentation.
- Attend site visits, installation and commissioning activities under senior guidance, then prepare site reports.
- Assist with technical proposals, scope descriptions and responses to client queries.
What you will need
- A National Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- 2-5 years of project engineering experience.
- Strong Excel and technical writing skills.
- A valid driver's licence and passport, with willingness to travel to site.
- Proficiency in English.
Exposure to CAD and proficiency in Afrikaans would be advantageous.
