A leading EPC firm is looking for an experienced Project Engineer (Civil & Structural) to manage civil and structural aspects of multidisciplinary industrial projects, from design through to construction and commissioning. The role requires strong technical capability and the ability to work across complex project environments.
Key Technical Responsibilities
- Develop and review designs for earthworks, foundations, drainage, roads, RC and steel structures.
- Perform structural analysis using Robot Structural Analysis, Prokon, or Staad Pro.
- Prepare civil & structural specifications, data sheets, calculations, and reports.
- Manage drawings, 3D models (BIM), and ensure constructability alignment.
- Conduct site inspections, assist with commissioning, and support fabrication and construction phases.
- Ensure compliance with OHS Act, MHSA, and relevant local and international codes.
Qualifications & Experience
- BSc / BEng / BTech in Civil or Structural Engineering (Pr. Eng / Pr. Tech preferred).
- 5+ years' experience in civil & structural design within industrial or process plant environments.
- Strong understanding of structural standards and limit states design.
- Experience in cost estimation, tendering, and multidisciplinary project coordination.
- Familiarity with pyrometallurgical or heavy industry projects is a plus.
- EPCM experience in Smelter and Furnace industry.
- Experience with Autodesk Inventor, Navis or Aveva software preferable.
Key Skills
- Proficient in 2D/3D drawing and model interpretation.
- Advanced MS Office and engineering software skills.
- Strong analytical, visualisation, and problem-solving abilities.
- Able to work independently and in fast-paced project teams.
