About the position

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced professional to step into the role of Programme Manager: Sustainable Financing, based in Pretoria. If you're passionate about sustainability and innovative financing for conservation, this could be the perfect fit.
The role involves developing strategic frameworks and financing models to support green initiatives, including carbon credit trading, biodiversity finance, and ecosystem service payments. You'll also lead efforts to design sustainability-linked tourism programs and scope funding mechanisms like Conservation or Endowment Trust Funds.

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

• A Master's degree in environmental/resource economics, business management, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in environmental finance, climate change mitigation, or natural resource management.
• Solid understanding of financial and project management, sustainability policies, and stakeholder engagement.
• Strong leadership, communication, strategic planning, and reporting skills.
