About the position

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Understand complex or abstract concepts, identify the core challenges and cohesively structure what the key problem is that needs to be solved on behalf of the client.
  • Engage with the client, understand their ambiguous goals and be able to work with the Business Head to create scoping proposals and provide high level recommendations to support the team in closing the deal for a proof-of-concept (PoC) project.
  • Break down the key problem that needs to be solved and define in detail the recommended solution and its requirements that will deliver the best value to the clients.
  • Deliver data driven, detailed solutions to the identified problem for the leadership team and client to evaluate.
  • Develop and display an in-depth understanding of the AI product and all sub-components from both functional and technical perspectives.
  • Be an adept user of the AI product, being able to perform management of document repository (templates) as well as client level configuration i.e. system preferences.
  • Keep up to date with changing product capabilities, through discussions with the technical team and engaging with general developments in the space.
  • Articulate the ideas, recommendations and solutions in a clear manner, while balancing them against what's technologically feasible, functional and financially feasible.
  • Plan, execute and close proof-of-concept (PoC) projects within scope, budget, and time.
  • Responsible for bridging the gap between the requirements of the client and the technical development team building the solution.
  • Understand the needs and feedback on the technical elements of the project and negotiate reasonable delivery timelines.
  • Define the PoC's product vision and create a set of metrics for its performance against which the delivery can be measured.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to set up client projects (ie. environment setup, configurations, integration).
  • Collaborate with the Labeller Operations Manager to ensure successful labeller project execution (templates, labellers, verifiers, QA, etc).
  • Assess and track against the product's metrics - efficiency gains, cost/time/resource savings, risk reduction, etc.
  • Track and manage the finances and accounting of the project, the cost analysis and input of pricing and licensing of the PoC.
  • Maintain a high level tracker for all in flight projects as well as ongoing operations and ensure that this tracker is fit for inspection by the management team at all times.
  • Maintain knowledge of technical and operational team capacity and current engagement for the purpose of project resourcing.
  • Create and manage all documentation involved in the PoC aligned to the project and best practices.
  • Work closely with the business development team to create proposals, provide business analysis on clients, identify use cases and build case studies to show PoC successes.
  • Contribute to project results reports and identify additional opportunities to maximise the value-add of the software.
  • Involved in the negotiations of the purchase of the license along with the leadership team and legal.
  • Continuous communication in order to keep all stakeholders updated and involved throughout the PoC lifecycle.
  • Maintain long-term business relationships, serve as an internal advocate and client liaison who has empathy for the client's problem.
  • Handle ongoing communications with new and existing clients and liaising with internal operations teams in order to action client requests.
  • Provide feedback presentations, update meetings and reporting for the client to provide transparency and build credibility in the process and the team.
  • Support the clients with a seamless and personal transition to the solution and launch the experience, displaying the value of the solution and how it solves the customer's greatest challenges.

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Project Management.
  • At least 3 years experience in a project management role.
  • Certified or eligible to register with the PMI preferred.
  • Experience with project management in a technical setting is a must.
  • A background in Product Ownership, Technical Project Management, Management Consulting or Customer Success Management (or similar).
  • Ability to develop high level architectural understanding of software products.
  • High level understanding of SDLC.
  • Technical development knowledge is an advantage.
