About the position

The Role: Programme Head - National Cytology Coordinator.

One of our leading clients, a South Africa's premier national public health laboratory network, seeks to appoint a Programme Head - National Cytology Coordinator, to lead and transform the client's national cytology program.

What You'll Do:

• Strategically lead, standardize, and enhance cytology services across our nationwide laboratory network.
• Collaborate with government, health departments, and international bodies to shape policy and best practices.
• Drive quality assurance, training, and innovation in diagnostic cytology.
• Manage resources, budgets, and cross-functional teams to achieve program excellence.

What We Need:

• Proven Leadership: 8+ years' experience in pathology/cytology, with 5+ years in senior program management.
• Technical Mastery: Deep expertise in cervical cytology screening, quality systems (e.g., ISO 15189), and laboratory operations.
• Qualifications: Relevant Master's degree (e.g., Medical Science, Public Health) plus professional registration.
