Purpose of the position
To lead and manage the end-to-end national rollout of AARTO across South Africa. The successful candidate will develop and manage the integrated rollout plan and coordinate implementation across provinces, municipalities, issuing authorities, RTIA divisions and delivery partners.
The role includes oversight of operational readiness, systems implementation, stakeholder engagement, training, change management, communication, governance, risks, budgets and post-implementation support.
Minimum Educational Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent NQF Level 7 qualification in Project Management, Business Management, Public Administration, Information Technology, Engineering, Transport Management or a related field. •Recognised project-management certification, such as PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, PgMP, PMSA designation or equivalent certification will be advantageous.
Minimum Knowledge & Experience Requirements: Minimum of 5 years’ project or programme management experience, including at least three years managing a complex multi-site, provincial or national rollout project. Proven experience managing multidisciplinary teams, multiple workstreams, budgets, schedules, risks, service providers and senior stakeholders. Experience delivering business, operational, regulatory or technology transformation projects. Knowledge of public-sector governance, AARTO, road-traffic legislation, eNaTIS or the National Contraventions Register will be advantageous. Advanced proficiency in MS Project or equivalent scheduling software. Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel extensively.
