Professional Quantity Surveyor

About the position

An exciting opportunity exists for a Professional Quantity Surveyor to join our client's growing team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will play a key role in the financial and contractual management of commercial construction projects within the private sector.
Duties and Responsibilities:

• Compile and manage project cost plans and budgets
• Prepare tender and contract documentation
• Monitor project expenditure and financial performance
• Assess contractor claims and payment certificates
• Perform quantity take-offs and measurements using DimX
• Maintain accurate project reporting and commercial records
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams to ensure project success

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying
• Professional Quantity Surveyor registration (PrQS)
• Previous experience on commercial private sector developments
• Advanced proficiency in WinQS and DimX
• Strong understanding of construction contracts and commercial processes
• High attention to detail and organisational ability
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
