About the position
Hire Resolve's client, a well-established and dynamic consulting firm that specializes in delivering cost management and quantity surveying services across various sectors, is currently seeking a Professional Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team in Gauteng. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven individual to work on high-profile projects while furthering their professional development.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of the cost planning and estimation process on construction projects
- Prepare bills of quantities, tender documents, and contract administration
- Evaluate project budgets and perform cost control throughout the project lifecycle
- Conduct feasibility studies and risk analyses
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure efficient project delivery
- Handle progress claims, variations, and final accounts
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, codes, and company procedures
Requirements- Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field
- Registered Professional Quantity Surveyor (PrQS) with SACQSP
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a consulting environment
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts (JBCC, NEC, FIDIC)
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills
- Proficiency in QS software (e.g., WinQS, CostX, or similar)
- Valid driver’s license and own transport
