Professional Civil Engineer - Infrastructure

About the position

An exciting opportunity is available for a Professional Civil Engineer to join our client's Durban office. Our client is looking for a driven and experienced engineering professional with strong civil infrastructure design capabilities within both municipal and private sector developments.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver civil engineering designs for infrastructure and development projects
• Design roads, stormwater systems, water reticulation, sanitation networks, and earthworks
• Prepare engineering calculations, specifications, and tender documentation
• Liaise with municipal authorities, developers, and project stakeholders
• Manage project timelines and ensure quality deliverables
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance where required
• Support construction teams with technical input and design reviews

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
• Professional registration as PrEng
• Experience in consulting engineering environments
• Demonstrated expertise in municipal infrastructure and property development projects
• Strong technical design and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams
• Good report writing and communication skills
