Matric/Grade 12
4+ years' experience in a manufacturing environment
2+ year experience on supervisory level
Lead, manage, and supervise production staff, including operators.
Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure that production schedules are met.
Provide training, guidance, and performance feedback to team members.
Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork and collaboration.
Oversee daily production activities to ensure timely completion of production goals.
Monitor production metrics such as output, quality, and efficiency, and take corrective actions as needed.
Implement and maintain production processes, ensuring they meet industry standards and company requirements.
Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure machinery and equipment are in good working condition.
Ensure that all products meet quality standards and specifications.
Identify and address any quality issues promptly.
Collaborate with the Quality Assurance department to develop and implement quality improvement initiatives.
Enforce safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
Conduct regular safety audits and address any potential hazards.
Identify areas for process improvement and work with the production team to implement changes.
Lead or participate in continuous improvement initiatives, such as Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma projects.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of process improvements.
Prepare and maintain production reports,
Document any issues or deviations from standard procedures and implement corrective actions.
Report production status and issues to the Production Manager and other relevant departments.
R18 000 to R24 000 pm basic + benefits, depending on experience, qualification(s) and current / previous package
