Production Manager - Manufacturing

About the position

Excellent career opportunity for a Production Manager within the manufacturing sector.
Minimum Requirements:

• Degree / Diploma or relevant qualification
• Refrigeration experience essential
• 5 – 6 Years’ management experience (ideally with a background working with sheet metal)
• Previous exposure to a production environment would be advantageous
• Training and skills in people management
• OHS and ISO training and experience with an understandinig of QMS
• Technical Skills and the ability to manage a sheet metal department
• Proficient on MS Office Suite

Responsibilities:

• Determine, monitor, and track production around efficiency, effectiveness, and quality
• Engage and co-ordinate with other Managers across the Company
• Report back to senior management on productivity
• Ensure order fulfilment
• Non-conformance and incident management
• Monitor and review manufacturing operations and processes to ensure quality standards are maintained
• Communicate goals and key performance indicators to direct reports
• Recruitment and selection
• Monitor employee absences, and address and resolve patterns and abuse
• Employee development
• Counselling, disciplinary action, grievances, and conflict resolution
• Ensure all equipment and machines are maintained and serviced to specification
• Plan and order material in accordance with production requirements
• Develop and improve processes and procedures
• Promote and maintain awareness and compliance of health and safety in accordance with Company policy
• Quality control of all products
